The second week of August will be the date when the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup comes back to Břeclav and Piešťany. The traditional tournament of Under-18 national teams will be played in two groups of four teams, each representing one of top hockey countries. Reigning champions from Canada will defend the title in the Piešťany group, Group B.
The eleventh Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament will take place in two traditional cities to which it has come in the previous four years as well. While Břeclav will host Group A games including the Czech national team, Piešťany is hosting Group B that contains the Slovak national team.
After preliminary round, both cities will host games of the knockout stage. It has yet to be the determined where the final game is going to be played as it will depend on where the Czech and Slovak national teams play their respective games.
Each of the two arenas will host a total of nine games. The day pass for Břeclav games will cost 60 CZK.
