For Brad Lambert, the son of Canadian hockey player Ross Lambert and nephew of former NHLer Lane Lambert, making his Hlinka Gretzky Cup debut against Canada was something special. Unfortunately for the 15-year-old who won´t be eligible for the NHL Entry Draft until 2022, his Finnish team fell 6-0.
"We weren´t ready to play and it showed," Lambert began. "We lost all the puck battles, didn´t skate hard enough, and it showed on the board."
Nonetheless, Lambert admitted: "It was good to play against the Canadians for the first time ... It didn´t quite go the way I wanted, though."
